Back by public demand playing their own unique brand of high energy Ska that will have you dancing from the first note to the last, The Downsetters are making a welcome comeback to the Colchester Arts Centre
Formed in 2009, The Downsetters have gained an enviable reputation on the live festival circuit (both in the UK and abroad) having played Glastonbury (3 years running), London International Ska Festival and headlined both IP-ART (one of UKs largest free music festivals) and Riverside Stomp (Germany) and many more as well as sharing the stage with some of the legends of Ska including The Specials, Neville Staple, The Skatelites, Bad Manners, The Beat and Rankin’ Roger.
In between a busy gigging schedule, The Downsetters have released several albums and singles most recently being The Asylum Hotel which was mixed by Grammy nominated Producer Daniel Boyle (Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Max Romeo). The album received great reviews and sold worldwide.
The new album, Chainsaw Lullabies, is due for release in Spring 2018.
Don’t miss the chance to see The Downsetters in action at the Colchester Arts Centre for one of only a few Essex dates this year. Go to the Colchester Arts Centre website and buy your tickets NOW before it’s too late.
