KYANOS – HEADLINER

With accolades from BBC Radio 6 Music and MusicMap, NME describe Suffolk based 4-piece KYANOS’ ‘brand of soothing psychedelia perfect for fans of Tame Impala and Unknown Mortal Orchestra’.

The alternative indie outfit combine unique and distinctive vocals (Sam Golding), jangly guitars (Seth Bauly), melodic bass lines (Fintan Wight) and solid, understated drums (Zach Franklin), swirling together to create a fusion of psychedelia, indie rock and jazzy soundscapes. With a diverse palette of cleverly written and constructed songs, KYANOS deliver a fresh, yet instantly familiar experience to their audiences.

In September 2017, KYANOS released their debut EP ‘Elevator to Japan’, an experimental project that was recorded all on iPhones, with the idea that the 12 minute piece would be listened to in one joyful sitting. The EP was met with praise from NME, Radio 6 Music and BBC Introducing. In February 2018, the band released ‘So High’, which instantly became NME Emerging ‘Track of the Week’.

The band followed up the success of ‘So High’ with their latest single ‘Lost in Blue’, released in September, the title track from the upcoming EP. Fostering a more homely approach, songs are written, recorded and produced in the band’s home studio ‘The Band Room’.

2019 spells an abundance of live shows across the UK, Europe and beyond.

SAM EAGLE (SOLO) – SUPPORT ACT

19-year-old songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the coast of Essex. Taking influence from jazz, folk and hip-hop to bring alt to singer-songwriter.

He has built an acclaimed live show that has seen him perform at Latitude Festival, Great Escape Festival, and play live sessions on Radio X & BBC Radio 6Music for Tom Robinson. Quickly picking up strong support from BBC 6music and music fans, for his diverse, complex, yet accessible range of sounds in his set.

“I only just got to see him live with his band… they just blew me away. Really dense, accessible, left field pop music, with adventurous chords and time sequences – and it’s just played effortlessly by properly gifted musicians. They’re all about 18 years old and just put musicians twice their age to shame”. – Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6Music

He will be opening the night with a solo set at Three Wise Monkeys Ipswich!
