Bury St. Edmunds-based songwriter Jack Rundell takes his audience on a tour of his western wardrobe, with songs from his extensive back-catalogue. The former Waxing Captors guitarist will be modelling various shirts and performing the songs they have inspired, with a backing band featuring Tom Armstrong (Dingus Khan and Bessie Turner) on bass and Benjamin Brown (SuperGlu and Dingus Khan), making his debut on drums.
The Dingus Khan/SuperGlu nepotism doesn’t end there. Support will be provided by:
- Grof – a new project from Dingus Khan ukulele player Josh Court, featuring Tom Armstrong (again!) and former Dingus drummer, Paul Miller.
- PollyPreacher – wonky-folk troubadour from Essex, whose band usually features Krista Lynch (SuperGlu) and Gaz Burney (Dingus Khan).
This is the launch event for Jack’s long-delayed 73-track debut album, Home Recordings 2005-2015, which is finally released as a 3-CD box-set by Ipswich-based antigen records on 2 February.
